Muscle Beach in Venice, California, is a world-famous, historic outdoor gym and fitness landmark, known as the 'Home of Bodybuilding' since 1963. Located along the Venice Beach Boardwalk, it features a gated, open-air weightlifting area, a sandpit with gymnastic bars, and during the 70's was a hub for legendary bodybuilders, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Franco Columbu and Lou Ferrigno. It is open to the public, though a daily or membership fee is required to use the weightlifting equipment.
