One of five Polynesian-themed Tropics motels opened in the 1960's by hotelier Ken Kimes. Complete with Southern Pacific exotic decor, palm trees, bamboo and tiki statues, the motel had a connecting tiki cocktail lounge, nightly live entertainment and dining options, including a Sambo's restaurant.
