13th Floor Elevators T-Shirt

American rock band formed in 1965 in Austin, Texas, known as the first group to describe their music as psychedelic. Featuring Roky Erickson, Stacy Sutherland and the electric jug-playing Tommy Hall, they are known for being one of the first bands to openly promote the use of drugs such as LSD. They released 4 albums before disbanding in 1969 due to legal issues, drug busts, and internal pressures. The 13th floor of buildings is sometimes omitted in elevators due to superstition.
