Sarajevo 1984 T-Shirt

The 1984 Winter Olympic Games, marked the first time a socialist country hosted the Winter Olympics, creating a moment of global unity and excitement for Sarajevo and Yugoslavia. The Games were a success, making it possible to further modernise Sarajevo, but in 1992, war broke out, which heavily damaged the city and the Olympic facilities. East Germany finished top of the medals table with 9 golds.
