Opryland T-Shirt

Musical theme park in Nashville, opened in May 1972, and billed as the 'Home of American Music,' featuring live musical performances alongside amusement rides. The park featured nine themed areas representing different genres of music, such as Hill Country (bluegrass/folk), Doo Wah Diddy City (rock and roll), and the New Orleans Area (jazz). Despite being profitable and drawing millions of visitors annually, the park closed in December 1997 to make way for the Opry Mills shopping center, and is now part of a larger entertainment district that includes the Opryland Resort and the Grand Ole Opry.
