Short-lived but significant Philadelphia-based soul record label founded in 1969 by songwriting-production duo Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. Distributed by Chess Records, it acted as a precursor to Philadelphia International Records, featuring artists like The O'Jays, Billy Paul and The Three Degrees. Just 20 singles and 3 albums were released, before the launch of the Philadelphia International label in 1971, with Columbia Records.
