Minutemen San Pedro T-Shirt

American experimental rock band, formed in San Pedro, California, in 1980. Although considered to be a punk bank, their eclectic style blended funk, folk and jazz with hardcore. Their early songs were short, often under a minute, and the lyrics were often political, addressing working-class issues and anti-authoritarianism. Their most famous release is the 1984 double album Double Nickels on the Dime, which is considered to be one of the greatest releases of the 80's indie era. The band came to an abrupt end on 22 December 1985, when guitarist D. Boon was killed in a van accident in Arizona at the age of 27.
