Geri's Hamburgers T-Shirt

Popular fast-food chain founded in 1962 in Rockford, Illinois. Modeled after early McDonald's and originally limited to take-out, they later expanded their menu and added interior seating at many locations. They were famous for their fresh-cut french fries, which were peeled and sliced on-site, and the "Big G" burger, which was served with a signature sauce, similar to a Big Mac. At its height in the early 80's, the chain had at least 13 locations spanning northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. The corporation folded in 1981, though the last independent franchise location closed in Beloit, Wisconsin in 1999.
