Provincetown-Boston Airlines was an American regional airline that operated from 1949 until its merger with Britt Airways in 1989. Originally operating a single route between Provincetown and Boston, the airline expanded through a 1958 merger with Naples Airlines, and moved its fleet to Florida during winter months to maximise year-round demand. By the early 80s, it was the largest commuter airline in the U.S., serving 36 cities with a fleet of over 100 aircraft, and one of its planes, 'Old 36' (N136PB), became the world’s highest-time commercial airliner, logging over 91,000 flight hours.
