Dharma Bums T-Shirt

1980's U.S. garage / college rock band formed in Oregon in 1987, known for their energetic live shows, jangly guitar sound and literate lyrics. The band gained a cult following in the Pacific Northwest before breaking up just prior to the grunge music explosion. Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain first met each other at a Dharma Bums concert in Portland in 1988, when Nirvana served as the opening act. The band was named after the Jack Kerouac novel 'The Dharma Bums.'
