Toronto TV station and home to Max Renn's sensationalist programming in David Cronenberg's 1983 film Videodrome. Renn becomes obsessed with the violent pirate broadcast Videodrome, which he believes is the future of television, and attempts to air it on Civic TV. The show is a hyper-violent torture program that uses brain-altering technology to manipulate its viewers.
